The market had another positive session today. The major averages opened mixed, but worked their way higher during the day. All the major averages finished high in their intraday trading ranges. The COMPQ and the NDX gained .36% and .49% respectively. The SPX was higher by .26%. Volume was lower across the board. Leading stocks were mostly higher on the day. The leaders index gained 1.67% on the session. The index closed high in its trading range on lower and below average volume. The market had another overall positive session today. The gains were moderate, but the major averages and leading stocks were able to build on their recent gains. Earnings reports have been pretty good this week, but the market didn’t always react well. All the major averages made new highs. The market has come a long way in a short period of time, but it is looking pretty good right now and being invested is the place to be.
