The market rallied moderately today. The major averages opened higher and then bounced around all day. All the major averages finished in about the middle of their intraday trading ranges. The COMPQ and the NDX gained .58% and .84% respectively. The SPX was higher by .25%. Volume was slightly lower. Leading stocks were mostly moderately lower on the day. The leaders index was higher by .12% on the day, but other ETFs and baskets of leading stocks were lower. The market bounced today after yesterday’s decline. The gains were moderate and concentrated mostly in NASD big cap stocks. Market internals were lower. The action today was positive overall as the major averages continued higher. Hopefully the market will continue to work its way up until the Fed announcement next week. Jerry
