It was another quiet day in the markets. The major averages bounced tightly around unchanged all day before finishing with small losses. The COMPQ declined .13% while the SPX fell .10%. Both closed in about the middle of their intraday trading ranges and volume was mixed. It climbed on the New York and declined on the Nasd. Both were well below average. Leading stocks had a quiet day as well with the leaders index falling .19%, while closing in the upper half of it’s trading range. Volume was very light. The index is still dancing with it’s short term 9dma and holding above it. There isn’t much new right now. We remain in a trading range and while quality growth stocks are still acting better than the overall market they aren’t doing much either. Jerry
