    NXPI Volume Alert

Mike's system issued a high volume alert a few minutes ago for NXPI.
The e-mail alert looks like this:

We can see that indeed, the volume is higher than the threshold:

So, I ran the Breakout Calculator, using the alert price as a BO trigger ($105.34). We can see below that the R/R ratio is not very good. The test has been made on the past two years.

What is however interesting is that as the breakout price gets stronger, then the long trade has better chances to work.

For what it is worth, I am in the NXPI trade @ $105.54. NXPI alarmed similarly on Tuesday and pulled back.
I also took a similar trade in SWKS on Monday @ $98.89.

This is the NXPI set up showing a sloping pivot line in a flat base. This is a preferred type of set up where a stock makes a volume surge as it goes through resistance.

Here was the similar type of set up on the SWKS volume alert buy on Monday:

My intent is to hold these longer term as long as they remain above the 50-day moving average.
