    GDX RT

GDX started moving higher, pushed by the jump in gold today.
We can see that large players have either been buying or refusing to sell the price pull-backs.

The standard TA shows that we need to clear the $43 mark on volume in order to confirm the break.

    Pascal,

Quite a few of us here have tried TA in the past and found it of very dubious usefulness.

Have you successfully used standard TA in your investing over the years ?

I look at both standard TA and special indicators.
Standard TA is interesting to get the long-term view such as the 50/200MA as well as areas of consolidation, support/resistance.
