The market had a generally positive day today with the major averages rising between a half of one percent and one percent on the session. They all closed near the highs of their trading ranges. Volume was mixed with it increasing slightly on the New York and slightly on the Nasd. Leading stocks did better as the leaders index rose 1.11% on very high volume. Several components of the index had unusually high volume which contributed to the spike. Leading stocks have broken above the recent consolidation ahead of the major averages which is usually a positive sign. I will be away for a few days, the updates will resume next week. Jerry
