The market had another quiet day today as the major averages were little changed the entire session. Volume was lower across the board and the market seems to be bidding time until Bernanke's speech on Friday. It will be interesting to see if he will say anything interesting and if it can get the market out of it's recent consolidation. Leading stocks are not lighting many fires but the leaders index is trying to break above it's recent consolidarion as the index broke to slightly higher ground today. Volume has picked up in the last few days but remains below average. The index is in new high ground on both a price and RS basis. It is generally a positive when quality stocks lead the overall market higher, we will have to wait and see if it works out that way this time. Jerry
