    Pivots Software

I read where the pivots software has been discontinued. Having only read Person's book and the comments on this site, I'm a novice with pivots. I have tc2000 with the standard issue of pivots, but Billy's use is much more refined and sophisticated and leaves me in the dust, if not in the dark. Can anyone give me a little guidance on bridging the gap. I'm even confused by some of Billy's labels ie. SS1, SS2, SPP. I assume the W, M, Q, Y characters are weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly. Moreover, how far do the floor traders look back for establishing useful pivot points. Any help would be appreciated. bz

Maxime has made available a free pivot spreadsheet. Please read this post for the link and procedure:

You may wish to review my introduction tutorial post for definitions:

Great, thank you. I missed your post along the line, probably because I wasn't in the Algo forum. This is a major help. bz

    person pivots on tos

    buzzman,

you said you used tc2000, but i just wanted to let you know that person's pivots are a free indicator on think or swim. they only allow day, week, and month, but you can use his pivots with or without his proprietary filter. there are some free tutorials if you go here and search for "john person": https://www.thinkorswim.com/tos/disp...layFormat=hide

    hope it helps,
    lisa
