Sector Selection test with IWM, first (of four) Robot call results.

Billy has been generous to help with pivot points on the sector selections going forward for this experiment.

The first 1/4th of the test has gone resoundingly in favor of IWM.

    Gains so far:

    IWM 6.51%
XLU 0.91% (plus 1% dividend payout).

Even granting the dividend, IWM has begun the test with a comfortable lead.

My original model called for a shift to XLK last week, but after some consideration I determined that having to track and shift sectors mid-Robot call was too difficult to actually do. Accordingly, I'm running the test by changing sectors only at the time of a new Robot call and holding until the next Robot action. This may completely negate the benefit of my original design, but there's no way around it.

In any case, round one to IWM.

    Tim

NOTE: the "Mousetrap" threads on the basic forum are unrelated to the Robot and are market timing agnostic.

    Tim,
Just for the record, don't forget IWM's dividend of $0.252 on July 5th.

    Got it

I just saw it today in my account.

    Thanks.

I see the Robot is long, so I'll be attempting to re-enter.

The current long sector on my test is now XLK (technology), so I'll be entering a long entry price on your pivots as

XLK long 25.95, with a stop at 25.48

(Had the Robot been short today I would have been shorting XLE).
