The market worked its way up to moderate gains today. The major averages opened a little higher and mostly held the gains the rest of the session. All the major averages closed high in their intraday trading ranges. The COMPQ and the NDX gained .24% and .16% respectively. The SPX was higher by only .06%. Volume was mixed, higher on the Nasd and lower on the New York. Leading stocks had a good day as well. The leaders index rallied 1.27% on higher and well above average volume. The index also closed high in its trading range. This is a new high for the leaders index on both a closing and an intraday basis. The market had a pretty quiet session overall with an upside bias. The market seems to be working its way higher as we continue to see solid gains. Leading stocks are acting well with the leaders index breaking above its recent consolidation into new high ground. The rally is looking good right now. If you are heavily invested and your positions are working there in nothing to do but sit back and enjoy the ride. It’s been fun lately. Jerry
