Pascal, This rally started on and around 9/7. Tomorrow, Tuesday, CPI figures are published. US gas prices at the pump are down to nearly a price that is manageable. The $3 range, where as $4 and higher causes large gouges in everybody's pocket book. Food prices are not declining. But retail goods prices have dropped due to clearance sale activity in an effort to clear out the inventory excess. Example, Nebraska Furniture Market is having a Labor Day sale that brought people in by the 1,000s that I witnessed in The Colony Texas store. I'm in there buying kitchen appliances at 30% off. Back the truck up! People who have money are spending it.

The CPI is "expected" to report a lower value and we'll see if the number will make a downward trend. I have to wait and see. Then the FED decides what to.
