Leaders Index 10-18-21

The market continued its overall positive action today. After opening mildly lower it looked like the major averages were going to take a break today. They quickly found a bottom and worked their way higher from there. The greatest strength was in the Nasd averages. The COMPQ and the NDX gained .84% and 1.02% respectively. The SPX rallied .34%. All the major averages finished at or very near their intraday trading highs as support continued into the close. Leading stocks were higher as well with the leaders index gaining .93% on the day. The index closed high in its trading range and the relative strength line of the leaders index made a new high. Volume was higher and well above average. The market continued its positive action and the new rally remains on track. The major averages were strong and closed high in their trading ranges. Volume was lower today but has been higher in the last couple of days. Market internals were a little weak today, but there were new stocks breaking out and quality growth stocks are acting well. We are in a seasonally positive period and the market is acting well. Individual stocks are setting up well and there are opportunities available. Being in the market is the proper place to be right now. Jerry
