Leaders Index 8-26

After a bumpy start yesterday the market rallied the rest of the day to close strong and near the highs of the day. The major averages rose between 1.5% and 2.5% on the day with higher volume on the Nasd. This constitutes an FTD on the Nasd and IBD went back to confirmed rally, this time confirmed by Dr. K's model. Friday's action was also a Eureka day so this item also confirmed along with the A's-E's/Total turning up. The %E's are still to high and the weekly Coppock is showing a very slight curl. We will have to see how this indicator reacts next week. The leaders had a strong day with the leaders index rising 4.28% on higher and above average volume. There is still a lack of attractive stocks right now and that would not hint at a strong rally, but it looks better than it did earlier in the week. Jerry
