Leaders Index 12-14

The market sold off again today. After a lower opening the market was down all day and finished near the lows of the trading session. Volume was slightly higher across the board so there was distribution on all the major averages. Leading stocks sold off harder than the overall market with the leaders index declining 2.12% on higher and above average volume. Leaders were hit hard the last two days and the index traded below the 200dma, but rallied a bit to close above it. Only two stocks in the IBD 50 were up on the day. News out of Europe was not good and a flight to the dollar and Treasury bonds drove down stocks and commodities. Jerry
