Leaders Index 12-22-25

The market put in another solid session today. The major averages opened higher and mostly drifted modestly higher the rest of the day. The COMPQ and the SPX closed high in their intraday trading ranges while the NDX finished low in its trading range. The COMPQ and the NDX gained .52% and .46% respectively. The SPX rallied .64%. Volume was lower across the board, as would be expected after an expiration day. Leading stocks had a strong session. The leaders index gained 1.51% on the day. The index closed in about the middle of its trading range on lower and below average volume. The index is now above all its short term moving averages and its relative strength line is now also above its relative strength line. The market put in a solid session today and continued its recent positive action. The gains in the major averages were moderate and mostly occurred at the open. Market internals were good today. The A/D issues and volume were encouraging and the equal weighted ETFs of the major averages did well. The rally seems to be getting better and leading stocks are acting well. It looks like the market wants to rally into year end, after that we will have to see. It is a light week for news and a short holiday week. I have a full house right now and will take the rest of the Christmas week off. I hope everyone has a good holiday. The updates will resume next Monday. Jerry
