Leaders Index 12-5-25
The market put in another relatively quiet session yesterday. The major averages opened higher but mostly went sideways from there. The major averages closed in about the middle of their intraday trading ranges. The COMPQ and the NDX gained .31% and .43% respectively. The SPX rallied .19%. Volume was higher across the board. Leading stocks mostly lost a little ground yesterday. The leaders index fell .84% on the day. The index closed in about the middle of its trading range on lower and below average volume. The market action yesterday was again pretty quiet. The major averages were mildly positive, but market internals were a little weak. The New York A/D line remains just below its highs. One strong up day should put it into new high ground, which would be encouraging for the rally. The market continues to await the Fed announcement on Wednesday. It may well be pretty quiet in the first couple of days of next week as market participants hesitate to take positions ahead of the Fed. Jerry
