Leaders Index 12-4-25

The market had a mixed session today with the major averages finishing little changed. The major averages opened little changed and traded around unchanged most of the day. All the major averages did however close high in their intraday trading ranges. The COMPQ and the NDX were mixed with the former gaining .22% and the latter losing .10%. The SPX was higher by .11%. Volume was mixed, higher on the New York and lower on the NASD. Leading stocks were mostly higher on the session. The leaders index gained 2.07% on the day. The index closed high in its trading range on slightly lower volume. The index is now challenging its 50dma. The market had a quiet session today with small changes in the major averages. Market internals were also pretty close to even. Small and mid-cap stocks showed some strength and the RUT made a new closing high. The market is acting pretty well right now. The major averages are not far from their old highs and the A/D line of the NYSE is also close to its high. The market is holding up but may be a bit hesitant with the important news coming up. The PCI will be reported tomorrow and the Fed announcement is Wednesday. The rally looks ok right now and we should hope for friendly news coming up. Jerry
