Leaders Index 3-25-25

The market put in a moderately positive session today. The market opened a bit higher and mostly held the gains the rest of the day. All the major averages finished high in their intraday trading ranges. The NASD averages led with the COMPQ and the NDX rallying .46% and .53% respectively. The SPX gained .16%. Volume was lower across the board. Leading stocks were moderately higher also. The leaders index gained .48% on the day. The index closed in the upper half of its trading range on lower and slightly above average volume. The market put in a mildly positive session, holding on to yesterday’s gains. The major averages closed moderately higher and in the upper part of their trading ranges. Market internals were weak overall and the equal weighted ETFs also lagged. The SPX moved higher above its 200dma while the NDX sits right on this important moving average. The market is working its way higher, but there is not a lot of strength so far. Some long positions are warranted here, but a lot of caution should be exercised. One bad post on tariffs could hit the market. Jerry
