Leaders Index 10-2-24

The market has mostly gone sideways in the last few days. The major averages opened lower but regained the losses by the close. All the major averages finished slightly higher and high in their intraday trading ranges. The COMPQ and the NDX gained .08% and .15% respectively. The SPX was higher by .01%. Volume was lower across the board. Leading stocks were pretty much flat also with the leaders index gaining .02% on the day. The index closed in the upper half of its trading range om lower and well below average volume. The market pretty much treaded water today. There was some early weakness but it was recovered and all the major averages closed strong. The market is acting alright now and has been holding up. It has produced muted gains so far, but that could change soon. The market is headed into a seasonally favorable period and the weekly Coppock is looking like it is setting up to signal. Either could provide the spark that gets this rally going into year end and early next year. Jerry
