Using the breakout calculator to stay in a short trade

Yesterday I used the breakout calculator on AAPL and TASR to decide to remain in short positions. The breakout calculator was suggesting Over Sold long positions but with pretty small gain potential. Since I was in a 7% profit position on both shorts I decided I could sit through the expected reaction and wait for a longer term drop in price before I cover. I am hoping that they both retest the August flash crash lows which would be an automatic cover zone.
