It looks as if the boys supported the market at the opening.
Will this rampant manipulation continue ?

I read it was transportation equipment that dragged the headline number down, and that is the most volatile sector. It doesn't look like it was that important. The home price decline seems to have been priced in, and the miss was not that far from consensus. The decline after the strong Consumer Confidence beat is not something I wanted to see to support the bullish case, but support seems to have been found.
