• Portfolio Management for March 16, 2017

The portfolio performed well yesterday even though it was well balanced for risk. The XME and TBT positions did very well, while the short IBB did lose money. XLF underperformed, but still was not very negative.

I still find the IBB MF weak, but only the market will tell us. I will keep some flexibility around the stop of $305 - this is not a hard stop. The portfolio is indeed well balanced and we need to be positioned for next week.

I opened a short CVS position on a weak bounce. CVS (Retail pharma) has a very heavy debt load, which is not too good in an environment where rates are going up. Their revenues are shrinking and all the sector could fall again on some nasty tweets.

I moved stops on a few positions in order to manage the risk.

The trade ideas for the day are below. I did not put much effort in them, since the Portfolio is 100% invested now.
