• Portfolio Management for October 8, 2015

Even though the Portfolio lost 0.5% yesterday, I am keeping it mostly on the short side.

Yesterday, I swapped the MW short for an ORCL short, because MW started to attract money.
I also entered a new XLE short, but trimmed half at the end of the day, as energy - although weak - is still not breaking yet.

I also opened a DRI long on an alert. Although I would prefer to be fully invested on the short side, prudence dictates that some hedging could be necessary.

As of now, the Portfolio is 70% short and 20% long.

We can see below that all three current short positions are rather poor in terms of EV patterns.
I should have swapped the XLE short for an ARMH short at the end of the day.

SBH looks the poorest of all. I think bad news is on the way.
EBAY is not attractive anymore after the Paypal IPO.
ORCL is losing customers to AMZN and its new Cloud offering. Large investors want out on the bounce.
