• Portfolio Management for June 19, 2015

I feel lucky that I closed all my short positions on Wednesday as yesterday's bounce was very strong.

I opened a new TASR long as there was a buy alert yesterday in Mike's High Growth Stocks system.
For HGS, the entry price is really critical, especially in a range-bound market (which has been the case for months.)

Even though I waited for the stock to pull back, the price dropped lower than my entry price.
I am now the happy owner of a stock that has a 59% chance of hitting its stop today. If this happens, I will probably close half or exit the position completely. This will depend on my ability to balance the Portfolio beforehand.

Below is the TASR EV pattern when I decided to enter. We closed at $34.96.

Below is the EOD Pyramid data.

The trade ideas for today are shown below. I am mostly interested in finding two short trades in the energy sector. I will enter stocks that break down on volume. I believe it is easier than shorting a bounce, because in an up market, bounces can continue for longer than a short-term trader might expect.
