• Portfolio Management for March 16, 2015

Last Friday, I closed the VNQ long position (to my later regret), but I also sold the long XLE position very early in the morning. I also sold VAR to reopen it at a lower price later in the day, when the market was bouncing.

The trade ideas for today are below.
the NVDA idea can be seen in the link below.

Note that many short ideas are in fact attracting money, which indicates that a short squeeze is coming. I would be a buyer of these stocks, but the strategy of the Portfolio is to buy strong leading stocks and to short weak stocks using the Pyramid trading method. Trading a short squeeze out of a buy signal is not the strategy that I use in the Portfolio.

VNQ is still a good buy, but only on pull-backs.

DRN (triple leveraged similar to VNQ) looks slightly more interesting; however, both have a low probability of reaching the buy zone.

This week, I will be taking a short seaside vacation. I might trade lightly and forgo intraday emails.
