• Portfolio Management for March 11, 2014

    As you can see below, the Stock Selection system is struggling with losing positions. Four have been stopped out. This indicates one important point: if you want to keep tight stops, it is key to enter on pull-backs. Since the Stock Selection enters positions at the day's open, it can quickly fall victim to pull-backs when leading stocks are extended.

    Because of active position trading, the Portfolio Management does not lead to large drawdowns. It can experience a string of very small losses, but these are usually compensated by large gains in a few positions.



    Even though I did not plan to trade the portfolio yesterday, I nevertheless took a long SPWR position at the end of the day. Most of the solar stocks are pulling back to buyable zones.

    I am mostly interested in buying a long ENDP position.
    FSLR also looks interesting, but I do not want to concentrate in one sector.
