I woke up this morning and did my normal data collection routine and noted that we had a Hindenburg Omen signal yesterday. This occurs when we are in a rising market and NYSE new highs and new lows are both at elevated levels. There are other criteria.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hindenburg_Omen
I watch my own portfolio closer than the market. My portfolio does not look healthy right now.
When I compare the current NASDAQ I seem some similar historical chart formations that preceded significant drops.

The last Hindenburg Omen was 6/11/2015, going into the first drop on the chart above.
I have to admit that going into the two prior market drops that I thought we were headed into a bear market. I suspect that the Japanese NIRP followed by European NIRP avoided that conclusion. Now we are headed into higher interest rates and higher oil prices in a very old bull market.
