It was another volatile day in the markets. An early selloff was followed by a rally, then another decline and a rally into the close. The major averages finished at their intraday highs with the SPX leading the way with a gain of 1.30% while the COMPQ rose .89%. Volume was lower across the board, showing that large institutional players were not big buyers. Leading stocks were generally higher, but the leaders index was flat on the day with a gain of .03%. The index closed near the highs of the day and right on it’s 9dma. Volume was lower than Friday but still above average. There isn’t much happening now. The market is just whipsawing back and forth without any direction. Until we get a trend of some sort profits will be difficult to come by. Jerry
