The market opened strong today and stayed near the intraday highs until some late weakness took the major averages off their highs and they closed in about the middle of their trading ranges. The SPY was up .40% on the day and the COMPQ led the way rising .62%. Volume was higher across the board. Leading stocks again outperformed the overall market with the leaders index rising .81% on the day. Volume on the index was lower and about average on the session. It was overall a positive day for both the major averages and quality stocks. This is still a difficult market environment but it looks like the market wants to go higher. I will be away for a few days, the updates will resume next week. Jerry
