Leaders Index 1-15

The market opened weak today but spent the rest of the day recovering the losses and closed mixed. The New York averages finished up slightly while the Nasd was down a bit, mostly due to further weakness in AAPL. All the major averages closed at their intraday highs, which is positive. Volume was up slightly across the board, which is another positive considering the strong close. Leading stocks were up slightly on the session with the leaders index up .23% on higher and well above average volume. The index traded below it’s 9dma early then closed near the highs of the day, like the major averages. The rally seems to be taking a rest but both the major averages and leading stocks are acting well so the long side is still the place to be. Jerry
