The market rallied today and for a while it looked like there might be an FTD. Volume was higher across the board, but the major averages did not rise enough to constitute an FTD. The NYA lead the way by going up .87% and the COMPQ was the laggard with a .41% gain. Leading stocks were up also with the leaders index rising .95% on higher and above average volume. The 200dma held on the COMPQ and the New York averages are still trading below their 50dma's. As of this writing the election is still too close to call so we don't know how the market will be effected tomorrow, but the futures are taking a hit. The major averages are remain between their 50 and 200dma's and the and the one that is broken first will likely tell us which way the market is going. Jerry
