The market opened lower today and was down all day. The lows were set early and the major averages spent the rest of the day recovering their losses. They all closed down on the day but finished near the highs of the day. Volume was slightly lower on the day showing that there was not much conviction in the selling. Leading stocks held up well again as the continued their recent consolidation. The leaders index was down .27% on lower but still above average volume. It continued it's recent sideways pattern on continually lower volume. Overall the action of the major averages and the leading stocks remains orderly. Jerry
