Always a slow learner, it took the market's recent action against my long positions to teach me to try some hedges.
What I've learned: One can probably go long volatility when long and the market is moving against the position.
What I don't know: Best hedges for short GDX and short IWM. Any ideas?
I'm interested in speed of execution and liquidity and previous experiences.
