The market started off strong only to lose the gains later in the day. A rally near the close allowed the major averages to finish in positive territory. Volume was higher across the board and has risen in each of the last three days. The leaders reversed and closed down on the day with the leaders index declining .70% on heavier and above average volume. We seem to be in a counter trend rally after the first down leg of a bear market. Lack of leadership would argue against a strong rally. Jerry

Jerry,
Which moving average do you use for the volume ?
I have noticed recently that a short term moving average of say 20 days, gives a very different picture of a medium term MA of say 50 days.
Thanks in advance.
