Big overnight/weekend drop

Generally, we do not get very big overnight drop, but just in a case. If we have a very big overnight/weekend drop and price is way below our stop loss price, do we have to sell our position right at the market open?

Sandy,

Sure, that's what stop losses are made for. You need to sell right away to respect the worst case scenario of your trading plan. The robots will always sell at the open in such occurences.
