At the close 6/17/2011 the GDX robot issued a buy signal. On 6/20/2011, the GDX robot issued the following:

• Management of an existing position
The GDX MF has been in BUY mode since 6/17/2011.
The robot is currently looking for a long position.
Last close: 51.97
Settings for a new position
These are the trade settings for the trading day that follows the 6/17/2011:
The long entry price is 51.57 and the stop level is 48.09

I put in my BUY trade at 51.57 and stop at 48.09 GTC.

Today 6/24/2011, the GDX robot comes out with:

The GDX MF has been in BUY mode since 6/17/2011.
The robot's current position is a BUY that took place on 6/23/2011.
The buy entry price was 53.26 and the current stop level is 50.7. Last close: 54.01

I was under the impression that the initial BUY parameters where the ones to use for the entry. How come the robot bought at 53.26? Have I miss something?

If the robot cannot enter a position at a specific parameter during the day, then the following day, the robot will calculate new parameters and will try to enter a position at these new parameters.
