The market rallied strongly today. The major averages opened higher and rallied pretty much the rest of the day. All the major averages finished high in their intraday trading ranges. The COMPQ and the NDX gained 1.96% and 1.81% respectively. The SPX rallied 1.18%. Volume was higher across the board. This produced a follow through on the COMPQ. Leading stocks had a good session as well. The leaders index gained 1.73% on the day. The index closed high in its trading range on lower but above average volume. The market had another strong session today. The COMPQ produced a follow through, joining the SPX. The move today was strong and reinforces the case for a tradable rally. It seems that all indicators are positive now and the major averages and leading stocks are all acting well. We are now in earnings season and that will also affect the market. The major averages have come a long way in a short time, so a rest or slight pullback would not be unexpected, but the rally is looking good right now. A problem in the Middle East could always come about and cause a decline, but right now things look good. Jerry
