The market had an overall positive session today. The major averages opened mostly higher but didn’t hold much of the early gains. The New York averages finished in the upper half of their intraday trading ranges while the NASD averages closed low in their trading ranges. The COMPQ and the NDX gained .14% and .04% respectively. The SPX was higher by .32%. Volume was higher across the board. Leading stocks were mostly lower on the day. The leaders index fell 2.04% on the day. The index closed in the lower half of its trading range on higher but below average volume. The market had a mostly positive session today. The major averages held yesterday’s strong gains and built on them a bit. Leading stocks were off somewhat but are still looking good. The leaders index sold off today but held its short term 9dma. There is a little hint of a rotation but it is way to early to tell. Market internals were very strong today, which is an encouraging sign. The two short term indicators I look at both turned up in the last couple of days, which is also encouraging. The rally continues to act well and is likely not over yet. Jerry
