The market put in a mixed session today. After opening strong the major averages topped out in about a half hour into trading and sold off for most of the rest of the day. The Nasd averages, which have been the strongest recently sold off modestly with the COMPQ lower by .17%. The New York averages were a little stronger with the SPX higher by .16%. All the major averages closed low in their intraday trading ranges. Volume was lower on the New York and very close on the Nasd, although Esignal has it slightly lower. Leading stocks put in a mixed performance. HGSI is having data problems right now so I can’t update the leaders index. The market lost its early gains and ended up with both small losses or small gains, depending on the average you are looking at. After its recent advance this is not unusual, but the reversal is something to keep an eye on. Right now everything looks ok and the rally should continue. Jerry
